Columbia Pictures were one of the major distributors of super 8. I think they were the first of the big studios to release 400ft titles known as 'Jumbo Giants'? A few complete features were released as well. Derann Films had a short lived deal with them in the 80's and released a couple of titles.
During the peak of super 8 Columbia's UK arm Columbia/Warner released about 30 titles complete for hire only. Such titles as "Bridge On The River Kwai" "Guns Of Navarone" "Golden Voyage Of Sinbad" The quality was excellent for both sound and picture, although none were released in scope.
