When a Hollywood make-up effects man is told horror is passé, he applies drugged cosmetics to the actors playing Frankenstein's creature and the Werewolf on his last movie so they'll think they really are monsters.

This is a must for fifties schlock fans, despite the plodding script and weak Herbert L Strock direction. The final scenes were shot in colour.
