This book
is a must for all fans of Hammer Film Studios. It's a
well written history of the famous company who made a
broad spectrum of films, ranging from mystery to comedies
to war and of course horror and science fiction. Most
famous of course for their output of science fiction and
horror films this book covers them all.
Written by Marcus Hearn and Alan Barnes who in 1995 produced a magazine called Hammer Horror. It only ran for about 8 issues when Marvel Comics closed their magazine division, if you see any back issues snap them up.
The book is well
illustrated in both colour and black & white. Each
film has the cinema poster to introduce the title.
Features complete filmography. Also looks at Hammers TV
output.

A James Bond book written by
Alan Barnes and Marcus Hearn, the same team who wrote The
Hammer Story. This is a good book with 206 pages
featuring all the Bond's from Dr No to Tomorrow Never
Dies. Each of the films has a rating for various parts of
the film "OHMSS" rates titles 10,
gadgets 3.
Also looks at some of the other films the cast of the Bond's appeared in. "Operation Kid Brother" is one of the films looked at.
The illustrations, all in black & white are mainly behind the scenes and publicity shots.
I enjoyed reading this book and keep going back for a quick read. The title Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was also on a CD release.
Recommend. The last time I checked this title was out of stock. (3/1/01)

This is two books in one volume, An Autobiography and Past
Forgetting. I really enjoyed reading this book, its one of the best reads I've
had for quite a while. Peter Cushing's writing makes you feel both happy and sad for
him, when he lost his wife Helen.
He comes over as a real gentleman, which he was, so polite. I always enjoyed a film with Peter, he always seemed to add something special to them, however low the budget. One of the Greats.
He is sadly missed.
Highly Recommended

Autobiography of
Christopher Lee, is quite a good read, although I didn't enjoy it as
much as Peter Cushing's. Still worth buying though.
He would be great if they remade 'The Devil Rides Out' in the same role
as the Hammer version.
