1952 - d. Hanna/Barbera
When Johann Strauss plays his piano, little Johann (Jerry) cannot resist coming out of his hole to dance. This gives Tom the chance to try and catch him, unsuccessfully, of course.
Tom learns to
play the piano, in order to lure Johann out, and his waltzing impresses the servants, and
when the Emperor hears about them commands them to play for him at the Palace.
This gently paced cartoon comes as a complete contrast to 'Tee For Two' and although not one of this reviewers favourites, this Academy Award winner has an excellent soundtrack, the high quality of the piano recording being very useful as a test track for checking the projector.
