BROKEN TOYS.

 (1935 d. Ben Sharpsteen)

Silly Symphony in which broken toys, dumped on the Local rubbish tip, are given a new lease of life.

Like many similar one reel Disney releases of the period (11Mickey's Polo Tea0' etc), this item caricatures well known Hollywood stars of the time (though some might not be so well-known today). So we have toys that Look, and sound like W.C. Fields, Zasu Pitts (seen doing an impression of Mae West), Ned Sparks and Stepin Fetchit.

Beautifully animated, as one would expect of the period, the print has first class colour reproduction and excellent definition.

The plot is slight - buy it for the stars and the beautiful early animation and Technicolor.
