PLUTO AND THE ARMADILLO. 1943

During a plane flight to South America, Mickey and Pluto have 15 minutes to spare while stopping off at Belern in Brazil. Pluto's ball bounces into the jungle where Pluto confuses it with a rolled up armadillo - until the rubber ball is burst - and Pluto thinks he has killed the armadillo. More confusion follows when Mickey mistakes the armadillo for the ball - and rushes onto the plane with it - just as it takes off!

Filled with Latin American music, this is one of the best Pluto cartoons made (the best in this reviewers opinion is Pluto's Blue Note - 1947 ) and whilst not being as funny as some of the best of the Disney shorts, it is a mildly amusing and pleasant cartoon, and it's lack of violence makes it very suitable for the very young member's of the audience.

The colour is excellent, and the definition is good too, the sound recording is first class, with a nice smooth quality to the music, very important to this particular item. Recommended.
