DAFFY THE COMMANDO  1943

World War 11, Commando Daffy Duck is parachuted behind enemy lines and creates havoc at an outpost manned by a German officer and his aide - a small character, all helmet and feet, The film ends with Daffy arriving at a rally addressed by Hitler and giving the Fuhrer a bashing with a hammer!

Many wartime cartoons had a strong, propaganda bias and this one is a good example. A wild, wacky Daffy runs riot and wins every trick against the foe. A fast moving vigorous cartoon which has borrowed it's running gag from Jack Benny's To Be Or Not To Be.

Reel Images have provided reasonable print quality, but a rather 'noisy' track. However the bass control cures most of the problems.
