BRITISH NOSTALGIA

It's Titanic time once again , but this time the trailer for the rather better and more authentic 1958 British venture, "A Night To Remember" starring Kenneth More. It also has the plus factor, at least for this reviewer, of a better class of acting and no ghastly-sickly song or over-rated dodgy digital effects. One can perhaps overlook lines something like: "2200 passengers face the fact that most of them are going to die!".

Following this is a nice vintage Sunday Matinee dayset and then the 1959 version of The Thirty-Nine Steps" with Kenneth More and Tania Elg sporting a nice line in stockings Just Tania not Kenneth I hasten to add. Very good colour on this item.

The final item in this reel is Bud Flanagan and Chesney Allen singing " Underneath the Arches" from what looks like a wartime newsreel Good selection - all very nostalgic
