DISNEY TRAILERS:
"THREE CABALLEROS" "FANTASIA" "SNOW WHITE"

Three separate trailers mounted on one reel with full leaders etc on each item.

"THREE CABALLEROS" (1945) contains a good mixture of the cartoon and live action content of the feature. Mexican stars featured are: Carman Miranda, Dora Luz and Carman Molina, read those again and you will see that two of the names = Carman Miranda! I don't suppose it means anything, but she was rather popular during the 1940'.

The colour is not very good on this item, it has faded and is mostly magenta. Definition is reasonable as is the sound.

"FANTASIA" (1940) opens with a montage of critics comments on the film. Another caption informs that the film is 'Direct from one year on Broadway'. Trying to cash in on 'Snow White' another caption says 'Laugh At 'Hop-Low' - The Dopey Of The Mushrooms'. Another amazing caption is 'See Lovely, Alluring, Bewitching, Centaurettes'.

There are the usual snippets from the film, but its interesting to note that the "Sorcerers Apprentice" clips have had sploshy water sound fx added.

This is an interesting trailer. The colour is much better than "Three Caballeros".

"SNOW WHITE" (1938) is a mixture of critical comments and a look at some of the animation cells. Disney himself shows us models of the dwarfs and tells us about each one.

The trailer ends with a couple of shots of the dwarfs as they return home from work. Very interesting this one, worth it for the section with Disney, not much of him available on 8mm.

The colour has faded, and the print was a bit light, but a Disney collectors item.

As there are full leaders on and between each trailer, plus spacing here are the actual running times for each trailer:
'Three Caballeros 2' 12".
"Fantasia" 2'06".
"Snow White" 2' 00".

Despite the fact that you pay for about a minute of leader etc. these work out much cheaper than buying separate trailers.

Derek Simmonds is hoping to import trailer reels from LA Films, at around £16, work it out yourself.
