I've waited years for something on Prince Valiant (1954) to be released and since the feature is unattainable (at least on 8mm) this rousing Arthurian trailer, overlaid with Franz Waxman's splendid score will have to suffice. Robert Wagner plays the lead and James Mason the smooth villain with the glamour provided by Janet Leigh (for whom CinemaScope must have been invented) and Debra Paget.
Taken from a Technicolor master this trailer has quite good definition and good colour. Unsophisticated swashbuckling fun.
Three Coins in the Fountain was an enormous hit when released in 1954, as was the title song. It starred Clifton Webb, Dorothy McGuire, Louis Jordan, Jean Peters and Rossano Brazzi. The master has one or two joins in it but the colour and definition are good and it's very nostalgic of those early CinemaScope days.
