FRIDAY 13th.

Three trailer from the series of films that are rapidly turning into a ,kind of cult, horror soap-opera (I wonder when part 4 will be released?)

Parts 1 (1980 - d. Sean Cunningham) and 2 (1981 - d. Steve Miner) are excellent trailers. Both in the same highly original style which make compulsive and chilling viewing as the toll of murders is relentlessly counted away.

Part 3, which was released in 3D, is less effective. The style is much more conventional and it is full of all the usual shots of objects and people lunging at the camera which abound in 3D movies. This version is of course not in 3D but is masked for widescreen unlike parts 1&2.

Print quality of all three trailers is very good - sharp and with excellent colour, and although there are some negative marks and scratches visible these are not too distracting. Sound quality is first rate and the whole reel offers a worthwhile example of bang-up-to-date horror.
